Alitalia: Basisgewerkschaften beschließen Streik am 19. Januar gegen die Übernahme durch die Lufthansa

Auf der dringenden Suche nach einem Käufer für Alitalia ist die italienische Regierung jetzt auf die Lufthansa gestoßen (weil es bei der AirBerlin so toll für die Belegschaft klappte) – die Regierung möchte den Deal vor den nächsten Wahlen durchziehen. Ihre eingesetzte Konzernleitung betreibt diesen Verkauf – wie bereits früher an Air France, danach an Etihad und auch an verschiedene italienische Spekulantengruppen – ohne auf die Willensbekundung der Belegschaft in irgendeiner Weise einzugehen: Diese hatte in einer Urabstimmung alle solchen Vorgehensweisen abgelehnt. Mit der Erfahrung der faktischen Halbierung der Belegschaft in den letzten 10 Jahren im Rahmen der diversen Übernahmeaktionen – stets mit Billigung der großen Gewerkschaften – wollte die Belegschaft keinen erneuten Kniefall vor dem Diktat irgendwelcher Investoren. So sind es jetzt die Basisgewerkschaften – in der Minderheit, aber nicht unwichtig und vor allem mobilisierungsfähig –, die den Widerstand gegen den beschleunigten Deal zu organisieren versuchen, vor allem eben mit einem Streikbeschluss für den 19. Januar 2018. Die Transportgewerkschaft im Basisverband CUB und das selbstorganisierte AirCrew Committee rufen dazu auf, unterstützt von der „Fronte di Lotta No Austerity“. Den Aufruf zur Solidarität mit diesem Streik „News from the fight of Alitalia workers“  vom 02. News from the fight of Alitalia workers

In recent years Alitalia, Italy national airline, has been privatized and granted to unscrupulous speculators who have humiliated the rights of workers and with their industrial choise have compromised the quality of service and the potential of the company.

A group of Italian speculators followed one another, before then Air France, after then Ethiad …all of them left behind them only debris.
The workers who in over 12 thousand were sacked from 2008 to today were the ones to pay.

In these years, dismissed workers togheter with active workers have carried on a hard and courageous struggle, rejecting the humiliating maneuvers by the Italian government and by the airline company, a battle that only few independent unions trade have carried on, while the regime unions have accepted the dictates of the bosses.

Currently only Cub Transport and AirCrew Committe have not signed the latest humiliating measures proposed by the government, measures already rejected by workers with a referendum, followed by the government commissioner of the company.

Alitalia workers still resist, despite the expiring government want an agreement with the german airline Lufthansa, before next national politic election.
We believe that the only way to give dignity to the workers and to the company is the public management of the service and the protagonism of the workers in the definition of the industrial plans.

CubTrasporti and AirCrew Committee relaunch the battle, starting from the next strike on January 19, 2018 we will deploy a series of fight initiatives to avoid a very bad agreement that still provides thousands of layoffs and the definitive loss of public control of the national airline!

We demand the international solidarity of transport workers and we hope that it will be possible to organize soon an international strike of the airline transport to stop arrogance and cynicism of companies and governments colluded with speculators.
