No More Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Chernobyl and Fukushima! Join Hiroshima International Anti-War and Anti-Nuke Rallies on August 5th and 6th!“ mit dem die internationale Öffentlichkeit über die Durchführung der Aktion informiert werden soll:
Stop Trump and Abe to Launch Korean Nuclear War!
No More Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Chernobyl and Fukushima!
Join Hiroshima International Anti-War and Anti-Nuke Rallies on August 5th and 6th!
Workers, students and citizens of the world struggling against nuke and war, we’d like to call on you.
On August 6th, the Hiroshima A-bomb Anniversary, we have held annual Hiroshima Grand Action, anti-nuke and anti-war rallies. This summer on August 5th, the previous day of the 73rd anniversary of the world’s first atomic bombing, we are planning to have an International Conference as part of the Hiroshima Grand Action to build solidarity with people throughout the world.
We raise a slogan, “Never again Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Chernobyl and Fukushima”. Only an international joint action enables to stop atomic war and abolish all nukes on the earth. We look forward to having you here in Hiroshima together with us!
Capitalism is now at a historical dead end. Big powers like major Western countries, Russia and China are fueling nationalism and chauvinism . They escalate trade war threatening each other with their military power including nuclear weapons. Recently, on April 14th, the US, Britain and France have launched a coordinated military action against Syria. Also the Korean Peninsula is now in a grave situation. Ever since the World War II, humanity faces the serious danger of a Third World War.
The US the Japanese governments are playing a criminal and central role in aggravating the situation. On February 2, Trump administration released its Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) which openly declared to use nuclear weapons. At that time, Trump even indicated a preemptive nuclear strike on North Korea. Abe has “highly appreciated” the Trump’s NPR policy aiming to embark in an aggressive war against China, Korean Peninsula and Asia under the US-Japan Military Alliance. That is why Abe is keen to achieve his long-cherished goal of revising the war-renouncing Japanese Constitution made after the devastating Second World War up against the then revolutionary uprisings in Japan and all around Asia.
The Fukushima Nuclear Plant Accident in 2011 has made it perfectly obvious to all over the world that nuclear energy and humankind cannot coexist. In spite of that, Abe administration conceals the seriousness of radiation damage caused by the Fukushima accident and scheming to build its own nuclear armaments.
Meanwhile, Korean workers and people who overthrew the Park Geun-hye government have been struggling against these offensives. .
The summit talks of North Korea and South Korea on April 27 made it clear that the power of the struggle in South Korea exhibited by the candlelight revolution is beginning to develop into the struggle which fundamentally breaks up the division of Korea into North and South by a military boundary of the 38th parallel.
However, it’s not the case that Trump and Abe’s scheme which has once drove the situation to the brink of US-North Korea war, will be put an end through “North-South Korea summit talks” and “US-North Korea summit talks”.
Now is the decisive moment when the candlelight revolution has produced a situation, in which the war could be stopped before it starts, for us to stand up for preventing the fresh war, a nuclear war, by the united actions of workers in Japan, South Korea, US and all over the world.
Therefore, we think that the most important thing is the international solidarity in labor movements and unions which have been struggling against neoliberalism for decades.
Neoliberalism has produced all over the world such a reality where workers, especially youth cannot live, causing wage reduction, casualization, poverty and collapse of society.
All wars in the modern era are bound up with the crisis and the survival of capitalism. And it cannot be waged without cooperation and mobilization of workers.
We have been pursuing worker’s international solidarity and movement to prevent war–nuclear war.
We, workers in Japan, have determined to struggle at the forefront against Abe government which is also going ahead with the maneuver to wage a war ferociously along with Trump government. We have decided to stop absolutely the revision of the constitution and war, and to overthrow Abe government.
We will inherit the spirit of Russian Revolution in 1917 which turned the imperialist war into civil war. Let’s overthrow the dominant class of each countries that is going ahead with waging war, and struggle to accomplish the radical social change by working class!
We, together with workers of the world, propose to hold the International Anti-war Anti-nuclear Rally on August 5 and the Hiroshima Grand Rally and demonstration on August 6 as the historical starting point.
Gathering in Hiroshima from around the world, let’s publish the statement of collaborative action and struggle together!
